Pastor Mark Graham felt a calling to be in the ministry at the early age of 11 years old. By the age of 19 he had already held his first revival meeting. At the age of 20, Pastor Mark married his beautiful wife Linda and they began their evangelistic ministry traveling from church to church across the southern part of the nation. For the first 7 years their marriage, they traveled and ministered anywhere between 275-300 days a year.
Then in 1995 they pioneered their first church in the small Texas town of Nocona. Five years later they felt God was calling them to expand to reach a larger capacity, and relocated their ministry to birth Overcoming Word Praise Center International in the city of Wichita Falls. Overcoming Word Praise Center International actually started in 2001 with the Pastors, their son Nathan, and 3 partners.
Their second year here in Wichita Falls; the church began to explode in growth. They added 39 new families alone in 2003. The church has moved 6 times to accommodate the growth that has been taking place.
Through the Blessing of God, in June of 2006 Overcoming Word held its first Sunday service at its current location. In November of 2006, OWPCI purchased the 33,000+ sq. ft. facility that sits on over 3 acres. This facility has a sanctuary that seats over 800 people.
2009 marked the beginning of a new season for Pastors Mark and Linda Graham with the debut of Pastor Marks first Country-Gospel album entitled Instrument of Praise. This record is classic country style gospel music at its best straight from Nashville, TN. The success of this record is breathtaking and is an immediate favorite to all who hear it.
Pastors Mark and Linda's lives where forever changed when God instructed them to set under the ministry of Pastors Ed and Yvette Brinson of Redeeming Word Christian Center International as a son and daughter in the ministry. This event happened in 1998, and they have been faithful to follow their man and woman of God as they follow Christ. Their comment to submit and serve has produced the blessing to be seen and acknowledged in their lives.
The vision of OWPCI is simple, to fulfill the call of God by preaching and teaching the Word of God and by being living, breathing examples of Gods power and ability to save, deliver, heal, and prosper the Body of Christ.
